PVC / Stretch Vinyl
PVC and PU-coated fabrics are delicate and require extra care to maintain their shine and stretch.
- Hand wash only: Use lukewarm water and a small amount of mild detergent.
- Do not soak: Clean gently and briefly.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry: Heat and agitation can damage the PU coating.
- Dry carefully: Pat dry with a soft towel and hang or lay flat away from direct sunlight.
- Storage: Keep away from sharp objects that may scratch the surface, and avoid folding too tightly to prevent creases.
Optional shine: You can use a soft cloth with a tiny amount of silicone-based polish to maintain luster. Test on a small hidden area first to make sure it doesn’t leave residue or react with the PU coating.
Avoid petroleum-based products (like baby oil) — they can break down the PU over time.
Delicate Fabrics (Spandex, Stretch Velvet, Lace, Polyester/Nylon Mesh)
These fabrics are soft, stretchy, or finely woven and should be treated gently.
- Hand wash preferred: Use cold water and a gentle detergent. Machine wash only on delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
- Do not wring or scrub: Gently press to remove water.
- Dry naturally: Lay flat or hang; do not tumble dry.
- Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals to preserve color and elasticity.
- Velvet-specific note: Keep the pile facing the same direction when drying.
- Lace-specific note: Lace is very delicate and easy to rip, be careful when hand washing to keep away from jewelry or sharp objects to prevent snags.
- Storage: Fold neatly or hang carefully to avoid stretching, crushing, or holes.
